The third activity the Club has used to assist local ministry is teaching English classes in local schools. We’ve only been running the tours for a couple of years but already we much have worked with thousands of students. The last two tours have been fortunate to include both teachers and teachers in training who have helped us to develop a range of programs for school visits. Even players with no experience but who are enthusiastic can have an incredible time running and helping to run a range of English classes for kids including  conversations, games, songs, information about Australia and dramas. Whilst not a major focus of the tour it is a great way to further build relationships in villages we visit, as well as have a lot of fun. It has been particularly valuable in a number of places where we were able to combine teaching with a match. Whilst we are not always able to share our faith we’ve already seen the way that our activities are opening doors. For example one Bangkok school allowed us to share a Christian web site on our second visit as they were impressed with what we had previously done.
