As Bec sat washing 13 pairs of socks in a bucket in the backyard of a church in Kratie, Cambodia, she swore that the next trip we took would involve fewer people. And so the plan for this began to form. In fact since we began the work of Vic Park Rovers FC in 2003 we wanted a chance to both learn how better to do football mission and to spend a longer period of time overseas. 2006 provided us an opportunity to do that. The first three months saw us visit and work with a number of different sports ministries to see firsthand what they do and learn from them. The second three months we returned to Thailand where we have been twice before. This time however we swapped the very short, fun, high-impact work of the team tours for a longer stint of just the two of us working with missionaries based there.
